FAQ

Common parent questions

Everything you'd want to ask before your child starts. If yours isn't here, send us a message — we reply the same day.

How small are the group sizes?

Maximum 6 students per group lesson. Smaller for some 11+ and A-Level sets where focused attention matters most. We never run "tutor-to-many" classes that lose individual children in the crowd.

How do you measure progress?

Every child has a RAG-coded topic tracker (red / amber / green) updated weekly by their tutor, plus a mock paper score every fortnight for exam-track students. Parents see all of it via the online portal — no waiting for parents' evening.

Can my child catch up if they miss a lesson?

Yes. We offer a free catch-up slot in the same week wherever possible, plus written notes and the worksheet from the missed lesson. If a make-up isn't possible, the missed session credits forward.

Do you offer one-to-one tuition as well as groups?

Yes — both in person and online. One-to-one suits students preparing for specific entrance exams, those who need to fill significant gaps, or families who simply prefer it. The format is your choice.

What happens after the free assessment?

You receive a written report with your child's strengths, areas to develop, and a recommended programme — group, one-to-one, or a mix — with no obligation to enrol. About 80% of families do, but it's a no-pressure starting point either way.

Are your tutors DBS-checked?

Yes. Every tutor holds an enhanced DBS certificate and we maintain safeguarding training across the team. Certificates are available on request.
